Places I've lived

I was born in Provo, Utah and for several years my family frequently moved between Provo and Orem. We moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. From there I've lived the short periods in Rockville, Maryland; Central Washington; and Taipei, Taiwan. I currently call home El Segundo, California (near the LAX airport).

Halloween Plans

So, as lame as it sounds I'll be working on my thesis tonight. Yeah, lame, but it's the price I have to pay in order to spend Thanksgiving in Australia.

Favorite Halloween Costume

Growing up I don't know how many times I was a Hobo for Halloween... just dress me in sweatpants and a sweatshirt, keep my hair messy and rub dirt on my face...wha-la... a Halloween costume. So, when I actually did something a that required a little more effort I truly began to feel that crazy sensation that only costume fanatics seem saturated with. The first costume was Bat Girl... it will probably be forever my favorite costume.

What would you like to know about the future?

Sure, you could use your knowledge about the future for personal gain but I think I would like to know when natural disasters would actually occur. At first people wouldn't believe me but I'm sure after a couple of events, government officials may actually listen to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like sports and I watch them; however, I am not a major fan. I do not have a team. Maybe once, I adopted one of my boyfriend's teams...but other than that I cheer for the underdog.

Favorite Fall Activity

During the Fall there are so many beautiful orange, red, yellow and brown colors. So, one of my favorite fall activities is going on a scenic drive or hike through the fall colors...mmm... so pretty.

Really, I don't know why I chose this question. My best date ever ... so far... would have been in New Mexico, where my boyfriend and I drove to Taos, this artsy town in northern New Mexico and went on a hike in the mountains. I won't tell you any more of the details... tee hee.

Worst Injury

You know... I don't think anyone reads the class blog anyway. So there, now you won't get to hear about the time I was mountain biking with a pedal brake bike and went down a steep rugged trail where my feet slipped off the pedals and I hit a rock - flying in the air, I went one way and the bike went the other. I finally landed in a sticker patch. I was all torn up and had a broken arm.... D'oh! Guess you got to hear it anyway.

The Flaming Uncle

No, I don't mean that kind of a flamer. One of my uncles is obsessed with the flame image. He has painted his car (an old ambulance with the back cut off) with flames, wears shorts and shoes with flames on it. As if that's not bad enough, he actually got a tooth covered with the image of a flame. Silly.

The Worst Movie EVER!

In my opinion... the worst movie ever would have to be "Mars Attacks"

You'd think with all the big names casted it would be better acted and written. Any movie that I turn off in the first five minutes is something that should have never been made, because I'm not that big of a critic.

When I grow up...

So, when I was a child, I wanted to grow up and be several things. One of the first was a veterinarian... but I quickly realized that animals really didn't care for me much - thanks for running away Cinnamon. Soon after I fell in love with a boy done the street who like dinosaurs. So obviously, I wanted to become a paleontologist. When he dumped me I decided to become an artist. This dream profession lasted a while until I realized my purpose in life was to have the first baby on the moon; therefore, I decided to become a physicist and work with NASA. Shortly after, I discovered that the physicists rarely go into space - apparently they much prefer the ground. I sure there were many others...but you get the gist.

My favorite dish is some potato pasta... technical name, Gnocchi. I first tried them in Italy and haven't been able to get that savory taste out of my head. They melt in your mouth. Mmmmmmm.

Color Me Pink

nah... I have recently noticed that I like the pink - somewhat. Yet, if I were to be a color it would have to be Aquamarine. Something about it makes me think of shallow water coral reefs, white sandy beaches, a saltwater smell and a hot stud in swim trunks.

Dream Vacation

My dream vacation would be to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. I might even see a shark and pee my wet suite.

The Best of Times and the Worst of Times

I was an accident prone child. I've broken my arms seven times, and all before the age of 11. My best scar story is a scar in the middle of my forehead. I was bravely playing superman, flying from one bed to another across the room. Unfortunately, I must have experienced some dose of kryptonite because my flying fell short and my forehead slammed into the corner bed post. I walked out holding my bloody forehead ready to pass out. As a result I have a beautiful indent smack in the middle of my forehead witnessing to my bravery.
